Report on residential care for young people in care in 2011-12

About 11 per cent of young people in alternative care in South Australia live in residential care houses and many others will spend at least some time in residential care during their time in care.

Residential care is where the young person is in ‘a residential building whose purpose is to provide placements for children and where there are paid staff’ (AIHW).
