Australian Children’s Commissioners and Guardians’ May 2014 meeting

At the meeting were, L-R, SA Children’s Guardian Pam Simmons, NSW Children’s Guardian Kerryn Boland, A/g WA Commissioner for Children Jenni Perkins , ACT Commissioner for Children Alasdair Roy, Victorian Principal Commissioner for Children Bernie Geary, A/g Qld Commissioner for Children Steve Armitage, Victorian Commissioner for Aboriginal Children Andrew Jackomos and NT Commissioner for Children Howard Bath.

The Australian Children’s Commissioners and Guardians’ (ACCG)  meeting was held in Melbourne on May 15 and 16, 2014.

The purpose of the ACCG is to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of strategic advocacy to promote and protect the safety, well-being and rights of children in Australia, particularly the most vulnerable or disadvantaged.
