Relationships Australia (SA) joins the Charter family

At a ceremony at their Flinders Street office on January 24, Relationships Australia (SA) became the 47th organisation to endorse the Charter of Rights for Children and Young People in Care.

CEO Judith Cross (centre, front) signed and accepted the certificate of endorsement on behalf of a large team of staff who provide counselling, support and education through a network of offices and outreach centres across the state.

Quality Manager Sharon Good (front, right), who coordinated RASA’s endorsement process, spoke of her own parents’ fostering work, the challenges and the benefits for the young people who were given a secure and loving home.

Endorsement marks the end of a process of mapping RASA’s policies and procedures against the Charter and information about the Charter will be displayed and made available at it’s offices across South Australia.
