Get Involved
You're here because you want to have a say in the care system and youth detention in South Australia.
We want all children and young people who have been in care or detention to have a chance to share their ideas and help improve the way things work in South Australia.
To do this, we invite a group of children and young people to share their thoughts and experiences with the Guardian.
These groups are called AYIN (Advisory Youth Influence Network).
Your ideas can help other children and young people have a better experience.
There also opportunities to be part of events and volunteer with our office if your interested.

Where does your feedback go?
When you share your thoughts with us, the Guardian may share it with the department, Minister or other members of parliament. But we will always check with you before sharing information with others.

What's On
Speak up
Create Foundation is hosting a Speak Up event. Young Consultants are instrumental in creating change, both for themselves and for other young people in care. CREATE believes that everyone with a care experience has a unique and important perspective. By participating in Speak Up, young people are given the skills and platform to have their expert voices heard. Speak Up Level 1 focuses on self-development and building confidence. Participants learn about advocacy and the importance of strengths-based communication.
